During the ongoing sham trial in Azerbaijan, an interesting episode occurred involving Davit Ishkhanyan. This was reported on Facebook by Tigran Abrahamyan, Secretary of the “I Have Honor” faction of the Armenian Parliament.
“During the ‘trial,’ Ishkhanyan reminded the court that in one of the previous ‘hearings’ he had requested to review the transcripts of the ‘court sessions’ held on May 24 and 26. However, the judge gave an evasive response.
Why is this point noteworthy? The entire process of trials for Armenians held in Azerbaijani prisons is accompanied by an overdose of falsifications — from testimonies to translations.
Moreover, several participants in the fake trials have informed their family members that the information published in Azerbaijani media related to various aspects of the ‘trials’ does not reflect the truth. Their words were distorted, and in some cases, the content was presented in the exact opposite way.
I believe that Davit Ishkhanyan is trying to access the transcripts of previous hearings in order to expose these falsifications and prevent further deception, which the court is deliberately delaying.
In any case, our compatriots continue their struggle under extremely unequal conditions.
