Masis community leader Davit Hambardzumyan was arrested at the Zvartnots airport.
Hambardzumyan’s relatives, close friends and supporters gathered at the Zvartnots airport to welcome him. A large number of police forces were also deployed at the airport.
It should be recalled that Masis community leader Davit Hambardzumyan was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison. The judge also canceled the bail as a preventive measure and imposed detention.
He was charged with violating public order and using violence against protesters during the 2018 change of power. In particular, according to the charges, on April 22, 2018, D. Hambardzumyan intentionally violated public order. It was expressed in an open disrespectful attitude towards society and was accompanied by violence and destruction of property against participants who had organized a march to the mentioned square to participate in the rally to be held on the same day at Republic Square, using weapons and objects that were previously taken with them.
