UK Grants US Bases Permission to Strike Iranian Targets: Prime Minister

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that he had granted Washington’s request for permission for the US military to use British military bases in the Middle East to strike Iranian missile depots and launchers.

“The only way to eliminate the threat is to destroy the missiles at their depots or launchers. The US requested permission to use British bases for this specific and limited defensive purpose. We have decided to grant this request to prevent Iran from launching missiles across the region,” Starmer said in a video message published on the social media platform X.

He added that London remains uninvolved in the strikes against Iran.

“We are not joining these strikes, but we will continue our actions aimed at protecting the region,” the British prime minister emphasized.
