18-year-old Davit Minasyan was transferred from the Armavir Correctional Facility to the Abovyan Correctional Facility in his best interests, the RA Ministry of Justice’s Penitentiary Service reported.
“The transfer is based on the individual’s best interests, taking into account the age of the inmate and the importance of ensuring continued secondary education,” said Nona Navikyan, spokesperson for the Penitentiary Service.
Lawyer Lusine Martirosyan reported that Davit’s condition is poor.
“Davit’s right to life is in danger. Transfer this child to a hospital, not to another correctional facility,” the lawyer noted.
As a reminder, 18-year-old schoolboy Davit Minasyan, who participated in the incident with Nikol Pashinyan at St. Anne’s Church, was sentenced to two months in prison by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan.
Davit Minasyan lost consciousness before being admitted to the Armavir Correctional Facility. He was taken to the hospital, and today he was transferred to the Abovyan Correctional Facility.
