Armenia is satisfied with the “positive dynamics” in the process of normalization of relations with Turkey and is ready for “full normalization” of relations, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan told Anadolu Agency.
“We are satisfied with the positive dynamics of normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, but we believe that much more can be done, especially when it comes to full normalization of relations, opening the border and establishing diplomatic relations,” Kostanyan said.
Kostanyan characterized the talks between Erdogan and Pashinyan as “very positive” as both leaders showed “willingness to understand each other’s positions.”
He noted previous agreements on issues such as opening the border to third-country nationals and diplomats, an agreement reached in July 2022 during the fourth round of normalization talks in Vienna.
“We once again confirmed that Armenia’s side is ready. We have made all the necessary infrastructural and technical preparations and we are ready to start implementing the agreement,” the diplomat said.
