Justice gets sick, but does not die, and is established when you do not resign yourself to lawlessness, believe and fight. How many years has Bryusov been in captivity. As long as they can, they destroy, destroying all the strong and stable walls, order and traditions. First of all, they free those people who lived, created for the sake of the progress of the university, those who, considering the university their home, worked day and night so that the fire in the house always burned. The former rector of Bryusov, Karine Harutyunyan, in the recent 2018, following the slogan “Long live the new tsar!”, suggested that at a personal meeting with me we “clean up” people together, resign ourselves and keep my position as deputy rector for public and student relations. Of course, I could not, like many opportunists, “who is the master is the servant”, grab the hand of those who wanted to destroy my university and my country for the sake of a position and salary.
And what happened, happened. Having found no legal grounds for dismissing me, the Vice-Rector for Public and Student Relations at Bryusov, after my return from maternity leave, having disoriented the members of the university council, they decided to cut my position by voting by e-mail addresses. I was dismissed from my position without being offered another job, stating that, in their opinion, there was no suitable job for me at the university. After a short time, two positions were opened for the rector’s consultants to ensure the performance of my duties, but they found that even these positions were insufficient to carry out such a volume of work.
I immediately filed a lawsuit, since not only my labor rights were violated, but also my moral values were affected. Instead of supporting my status as a mother, a pretext was used to prepare grounds for my dismissal.
During this time, several judges changed, many difficulties arose, and my expected victory in court was postponed. In this process, Bryusov’s lawyer, Sakhak Manukyan, a close associate of Tsolak Hakobyan, played a major role, disorienting the witnesses and provoking them in court. He even told the judge that he allegedly did not know that I was nominated as a candidate by the “Am I Honorable?” bloc – which is a violation of all ethical norms. This is the same Tsolak who is now trying to look concerned about the future of Bryusov and the university sector, but for some reason these “concerns” appeared only after he and his friends lost their jobs, and before that they praised the new order, many of them forgetting about their past and directly participating in the destruction of Bryusov, providing my work with incentives within the framework of my work status. By the way, most of these people are not Bryusovites.
Bryusov’s “new masters”, of course, got rid of some of the Sakhakmanuyans, but are mired in even greater injustices.
During our meeting, the current rector of Bryusov, David Gyurjinyan, said that he also believed that I was fired illegally, that participation in lawsuits was not suitable for me and my path, that the university needed my return, that work with students was in a neglected state, public relations required revision, and that he considered my reinstatement, including the position of a teacher, to be right.
We could have come to a mutually beneficial agreement, in which case Gyurjinyan would have avoided being involved in Karine Harutyunyan’s illegal actions, but no. He was involved. At the next court hearing, Bryusov’s lawyer said that the university would continue the lawsuit. That is, David Gyurjinyan essentially continued Karine Harutyunyan’s line, without making concessions and seeing no point in discussing the possibility of an agreement. This was, of course, surprising after conversations with me, but the fact remains. The ball was in his court, and he decided so.
And now the most important thing. After 3.5 years, having gone through many difficulties and struggling with nerves, thanks to my skilled and professional lawyers, I won. A decision was made. Yes, the dismissal order was declared invalid. All compensation was paid. That’s all for now. Everything is still ahead…
