ARF member Andranik Chamicyan has been detained for two months. This was reported to journalists by lawyer Ruben Melikyan.
“Nothing unexpected happened. Andranik Chamicyan was detained for two months for his passion for airsoft, he was accused of training terrorists. The investigative bodies do not have information about what kind of terrorist attack it was, who committed it and who it was directed against,” the lawyer said.
Melikyan noted that the court allowed visits with relatives.
“The only positive moment is that, although the investigation demanded a complete cessation of meetings with everyone, including parents, the court took a small humanitarian step. “In fact, the boy, who has serious health problems, was allowed to see his parents,” he said.
Melikyan also said that the boy is over 18 years old, but has health problems that prevent him from serving in the army.
As for what was found in his home, the lawyer said: these were airsoft accessories. “My client presented everything in detail to law enforcement agencies: where he bought them, what he does, what he does not do, what they are intended for. No items that would be illegal in themselves were found on my client,” he added.
