People were evacuated from the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Tuesday after an elevator power line short circuited, BFMTV.com reports.
A technical problem occurred between the second and upper parts of this monument, due to which the fire alarm was activated at 10:50am local time.
Firefighters, in consultation with the technical services of the monument, are conducting an investigation to find out the cause of this incident.
The Eiffel Tower will be opened “gradually” throughout the day, “up to the second floor,” stated SETE, the company operating the monument, the media report.
