The crash of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter may have been the result of a pre-planned plot, allegedly involving Israel, the United Kingdom, and Azerbaijan, according to Iranian MP Kamran Ghazanfari.
Ghazanfari noted that Raisi’s participation in the dam’s opening ceremony was at the insistence of Ilham Aliyev, and that Aliyev had met with Jewish rabbis several days before the incident. According to the MP, Iranian intelligence agencies have documents and reports indicating that the disaster may have been pre-planned.
On May 19, 2024, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and several other officials crashed. Bad weather conditions were blamed for the crash.
