Canada to Eliminate Tariffs on Some American Goods

Canada will eliminate tariffs on American goods covered by the USMCA trade agreement. As reported by Armenpress with reference to CBC News, this was announced by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

“We will eliminate all Canadian tariffs on American goods covered by the CUSMA agreement,” Carney said, adding that the decision will take effect on September 1.

“Canada will maintain its tariffs on steel, aluminum and automobiles, while we actively work with the United States to resolve these issues,” the Canadian Prime Minister noted.
