Former director of Pravda Publishing House Vyacheslav Leontyev has died in Moscow. According to preliminary reports, he committed suicide, TASS reports, citing a source in the emergency services.
“Leontyev died yesterday evening. According to preliminary reports, the cause of death is suicide due to a nervous breakdown,” the agency’s source said.
According to the source, the 87-year-old man’s body was found beneath the windows of his apartment on Molodogvardeyskaya Street. There were no signs of foul play.
Leontyev worked at Pravda Publishing House since 1971 as deputy head of the production department. In 1984, he took over the publishing house and managed it, including until its transformation into the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Press.
