France’s Left Party will propose Macron’s resignation in parliament.
Party leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon announced this on France Inter radio.
“A year ago, we already raised the issue of the president’s resignation. Now we will do it again on September 23 and, in addition to a vote of no confidence, which will most likely lose its meaning since the government will already be overthrown by then, we will propose Macron’s removal from power,” he said.
