Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei rejected proposals to ease tensions with the United States or a ceasefire, both of which were presented to Tehran by two mediating countries.
According to an official, at his first foreign policy meeting, Khamenei’s position on retaliatory measures against the US and Israel was extremely tough and serious. The source did not specify whether the leader personally attended the meeting.
A senior official, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that the supreme leader stated that now is not the time for peace until the US and Israel bow their heads, admit defeat, and pay compensation.
