May the love and mercy of God be with our Armenian people today and always. Catholicos of All Armenians

Today we mark the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, said in an interview with journalists after the commemoration of the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

“We remember the acts of genocide committed against the children of our people in Artsakh, and the pain of the losses in Artsakh is in our hearts.” “On this sacred hill of Tsitsernakaberd, together with our clergy and the sons of our people, they offered a prayer to God, asking that the Lord strengthen our people, turn the pain, sorrow and suffering of their souls into strength, so that we can overcome the difficulties in our lives and with new achievements build up our homeland and create a bright and enlightened life for our people,” His Holiness said.

He asked God to be the helper and protector of the Armenian people on their sacred path of building their homeland.

“May the love and mercy of the Lord accompany our Armenian people today and always,” His Holiness said.

He did not answer other questions, noting that they would soon convey their message from the Cathedral of the Holy Liturgy.
