US President Donald Trump raised the issue of Canada joining the United States during a new meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House, TASS reports.
Carney expressed the opinion that Trump had achieved “economic transformation, unprecedented commitments to military spending from NATO partners,” and the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as between India and Pakistan.
Furthermore, “in many ways, the most important thing,” the prime minister continued, but Trump interrupted, “is the unification of Canada and the United States.”
Carney laughed and retorted, “That’s not what I meant.”
Then the Canadian prime minister solemnly recalled the second anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.
