Our fundamentally new political force, our newly formed team will rely primarily on our best national qualities, on people who are the bearers of the strong will of the people, and first of all on the youth.
This is stated in Samvel Karapetyan’s letter from the penitentiary institution.
What have the current authorities failed to do? They have failed to lull the will of the Armenian people.
They have failed to break our youth. Having gone through wars, state persecution, deprivation and uncertainty, they have remained strong and talented, thinking about the future of our Armenia and living by it.
They have failed to silence journalists and freedom of speech. The chain of information terror, lies and manipulations is broken, and thanks to real journalists who selflessly do their job, reality becomes accessible to our society.
We could not break our compatriots in the Baku prison, who have fought heroically for decades and are people worthy of exceptional respect. Once in prison, they live on the brink of death. But they will always hold their and our honor high, as befits a true Armenian.
We could not break our faith in the mission of our Church. The more they persecute the clergy, the more Armenians ask for blessings from our clergy. The more they attack our Church, the more our People unite around our Mother See.
Our future lies in these failures of a small group that acts. Our fundamentally new political force, our newly formed team will rely primarily on our best national qualities, on people who carry the will of the people, and especially on the youth.
We will open a new, long-awaited and desired page in our history, in our own way.”
