Residents of the Kasakh community of the Kotayk region will block the highway to Yerevan from early morning.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that residents have blocked the road. The last time, on April 10, residents of the community blocked the Yerevan-Ashtarak highway and demanded that bus route #59 not be removed.
Recall that on April 9, residents of the Kasakh and Proshyan communities met with high-ranking government officials, but the residents of Kasakh did not receive the expected response.
The fact is that bus #59 served the Kazakhs for about 2 years, and now they want to remove it. For residents of Proshyan, route #25 will bypass the former building of the Ministry of Defense, and route #59, which serves Kasakh, will be eliminated. Residents noted on April 10 that they are ready to discuss all reasonable solutions, otherwise their steps will be consistent and more significant.
“It turns out that the rights of the average citizen have been violated once again, and once again this same average citizen is forced to defend his rights by blocking the street.”
