On March 2, the Catholicos of All Armenians sent a telegram of condolences to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian over the casualties among the country’s leadership and citizens. The Iranian Embassy in Yerevan reported this.
“We are following with deep concern the military actions that are taking human lives and undermining regional security, resulting in the deaths of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, high-ranking government officials, and innocent civilians,” the embassy said in a telegram.
“We express our condolences to Your Excellency and pray for the families of the victims, wishing the friendly people of Iran a peaceful and secure life,” the telegram read.
