Judge Karen Farkhoyan of the Criminal Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan found the driver of the traffic police car accompanying Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan guilty of hitting Sona Mnatsakanyan.
The preventive measure against Aram Navasardyan – a ban on leaving the country – was left unchanged. The verdict will be determined at an additional court hearing. Additional hearings on the case will be held on August 13, 2025 at 12:00.
Recall that on April 26, 2022, Pashinyan’s motorcade hit 29-year-old Yerevan resident Sona Mnatsakanyan at the intersection of Leo and Paronyan streets. She was taken to the hospital in a state of death.
It should be noted that the accused Aram Navasardyan is the driver of the car that hit Sona Mnatsakanyan; he has not been arrested for the past 3 years.
