The Iranian President met with the families of Armenians killed in the Iran-Iraq War

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with the families of Armenians killed in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War, the Iranian Embassy in Yerevan reported.
The head of state visited them on Christmas Eve.
Pezeshkian praised the dedication and heroism of the families of Oshavan Ayvazyan and Garik Tumanyan, who sacrificed their lives to repel foreign aggression.
The president praised the high moral character of the victims and thanked their families for their dedication to the Iranian state.
It should be noted that, according to various sources, between 180,000 and 250,000 Iranians died in the war with Iraq.
