Tigran Ulubabyan has declared a hunger strike. This was reported by lawyer Erik Beglaryan.
The reasons for the hunger strike, according to Tigran Ulubabyan, are as follows:
1. The use of detention against him, which, in our opinion, was carried out without sufficient and substantiated evidence.
2. The investigators’ selfish interest in keeping him in detention, since, according to him, the police officers who subjected him to physical violence are representatives of their entourage.
3. He twice applied for a change of investigator, but both times he was refused without sufficient grounds.
4. The investigators do not exercise due diligence in his case, as a result of which the investigation is slowing down and raising doubts about his impartiality.
Considering the above, I urge you to review the procedure for the criminal prosecution of Tigran Ulubabyan and, if possible, transfer the criminal case to another investigator to ensure the objectivity and impartiality of the investigation.
Tigran Ulubabyan is an orphan on both sides, and his older brother died on the battlefield. I hope that at least this fact will become a reason for you to fulfill Tigran’s small request.
