Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of the Republic of Armenia, stated this in a conversation with journalists near the court building, referring to the statement of the Supreme body of the Republican Party of Armenia.
“Regardless of the circumstances, whether there will be impeachment or not, the elections will take place, these are ordinary elections that can be postponed only in exceptional cases.
Our solution, our application – about unity, we say that impeachment is also a tool for resolving the crisis, let’s try it. And if they say that this will not happen, what should we do now, etc. d., they are similar to the current rulers of Armenia, who say that we are weak, we must give Azerbaijan everything it wants. If they don’t want, we will try to implement it within our capabilities,” he said.
Serzh Sargsyan added to the question about the possible participation of the Republican Party in the upcoming elections. “If we are talking about our participation in the elections, we will make a decision based on how effective our decision will be in the fight against the current rulers of Armenia.”
