Zelensky discussed with Mark Rutte issues aimed at accelerating work on providing security guarantees to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel.

According to the Ukrainian head of state, the conversation was “very meaningful” and concerned the acceleration of work on guarantees for Ukraine’s security.

“It is important to work faster on guarantees for Ukraine’s security. It is important to be as effective as possible together with America. It is important to strengthen our air defense,” Zelensky stressed.

He added that Ukraine and NATO will continue to coordinate efforts in the diplomatic sphere. “Putin pretends that he does not need peace, that he does not need negotiations, but in fact, world pressure can shape Russia’s interest in ending the war. Thank you to all those who help,” the president noted.
