According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia launched strikes “across almost all of Ukraine” on the night of June 6. The regions targeted included Volyn, Lviv, Ternopil, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv.
Zelensky stated that 49 people were injured as a result of the attacks, and three others were killed.
Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that four people had died in the capital due to drone and missile strikes by Russia, though he did not provide specific details about the casualties.
“In total, today’s attack involved over 400 drones and more than 40 missiles, including ballistic ones. Forty-nine people have been injured. Unfortunately, the number may rise as more people seek medical assistance. As of now, three fatalities have been confirmed — they were employees of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service. My sincere condolences to their families,” Zelensky said.
He also emphasized that Ukraine, with international support, has done a lot to defend itself. According to him, now is the time for America, Europe, and “the entire world” to put pressure on Russia to end the war.
