EAEU member states do not have the right to expel a country from the organization. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during the traditional briefing held after the October 22 session of the Government, commenting on the latest statement of representatives of EAEU member states. At the same time, he noted that such an opportunity is provided in the CSTO framework. Pointing out that the EAEU and the CSTO are the same countries, Pashinyan asked why in that case Armenia is not removed from the CSTO. "It is the first time in history that the metropolis does not draw us towards itself, but, in fact, indirectly says: we will remove you from us. Such an incident has never happened before in the history of the Armenian people," said the head of the government. Then he proposed to record one fact: the restrictions applied to Armenia in the previous period, neither economically nor politically, did not lead to the expected results that they wanted to achieve both in Armenia and Certain circles outside the country's borders. "This will be the third case of achieving such an effect, including provoking internal political instability in Armenia. Because I see that there are forces both in Armenia and outside of it that try and will try to use this working situation. Not only to provoke political instability in Armenia, but instability also has a specific reason It is the elimination of Armenia's de-facto independence," the Prime Minister emphasized. Pashinyan insisted that this is happening for the third time in the last three years. According to him, the first such incident was the forced displacement of the population of Nagorno Karabakh in 2023, and the second was the 2026 parliamentary elections. "Now the third experiment is being prepared, which is part of a widely used secret program," the head of the government announced, noting that in this case it is not an economic, but a political factor. According to him, the goal is to provoke internal instability and establish actual control over the country.
