It has been a month since the newly constructed administrative building of the Yeghegnadzor fire-rescue squad of the Rescue Service was put into operation. This is reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The outdated and incomplete infrastructure was replaced by a new, modernized and improved building. The former building of the fire and rescue squad was built in 1951, serving first as a car factory, and later it was operated by the Rescue Service for about 30 years. "We did not have proper living conditions. The area was small, everyone was gathered in the same place, there were problems with providing heating and rest for the employees," says Suren Harutyunyan, commander of the Yeghegnadzor Fire Rescue Department of the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Suren Harutyunyan. According to the squad commander, all these problems are in the past, and the former building serves as a warehouse. The new administrative building is equipped with 6 parking spaces, rest and conference rooms, comfortably furnished bedrooms, a gym with all the necessary conditions for service. The improvement and modernization of rescue service infrastructures are among the priority directions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the current year, the second administrative building is commissioned, and the works in this direction are ongoing. Currently, the construction of the new administrative building of the Baghramyan fire-rescue squad is also in an active stage.
