Yes, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is really ready to go the way of holding extraordinary parliamentary elections. He knows perfectly well what he is talking about, but I think he will be replaced soon. This was reported by political scientist Alen Ghevondyan. "From the point of view of his political and not only political existence... Pashinyan understands that this is vitally important for him," said Ghevondyan, not excluding various scenarios, up to the falsification of election results. According to the expert, with such statements, the head of the government could also conduct a kind of test to find out which political forces and actors are ready and generally capable of going this way. The political scientist is convinced that in order to ensure the implementation of Azerbaijan's demands, in particular regarding changing the Constitution of Armenia, Pashinyan and his team need the presence of a parliamentary majority like air and water. There really isn't any. In other words, the authorities are practically unable to ensure the amendment of the Constitution and the fulfillment of Baku's demands. That is why they needed to hold extraordinary parliamentary elections. However, this time their victory must be complete and unconditional. Otherwise, Pashinyan may find himself in an unenviable situation. At the same time, Ghevondyan pointed out the relatively low rating of both the current government and the opposition. In his opinion, the opposition should evaluate its resources more adequately. "It should not be guided by previous political illusions and romanticism. Politics is more about proper planning and competently distributing the right people to the right places. Those processes should be carried forward properly," said the expert.
