According to their assessment, his work may not meet the expectations of President Donald Trump. As reported by CNN, several representatives of the White House expressed displeasure with Zakharia's first press briefing, which lasted only 15 minutes. According to the publication, the press secretary devoted the main part of the briefing to his opening speech, referring to Donald Trump's achievements and positively evaluating the president's activities. At the same time, a limited time was allocated for question-and-answer with journalists. Zakharia gave the opportunity to ask questions to only three journalists, after which he finished the briefing. According to CNN, such a format caused a negative reaction among some White House officials, raising questions about the future tenure of the press secretary.
