The dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group as a result of Pashinyan’s treacherous steps certainly deals a blow to the international possibilities for the settlement of the Artsakh problem. Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia Armen Ashotyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
However, this can be fixed. After the change of power, in the case of a targeted policy of the new government, we can expect the creation of a different international format for the settlement of the problem.
And before that, let me remind you that the resolution adopted by the Swiss Parliament in March of this year has already created a mechanism for institutional support of the Artsakh problem on international platforms, albeit with a weaker and more limited mandate – the “Swiss Peace Initiative on Nagorno-Karabakh”, which both the National Assembly of Artsakh and the socio-political forces of Armenia are obliged to make maximum use of.
“I urge you not to forget about this and to work effectively with this platform,” he noted.
