The head of the Shirak Diocese, Archbishop Michael Ajapakhyan, has filed a lawsuit against former priest Stepan Asatrayan.
In the lawsuit, Archbishop Michael demands a retraction of the slanderous information and the confiscation of funds.
The case has been assigned to Judge Emin Abgaryan of the Ararat and Vayots Dzor Civil Court.
The court also reportedly returned the lawsuit along with the attached documents, requiring the violations cited in the lawsuit to be corrected within three days.
