As a result of the criminal case initiated by the General Department for the Investigation of Crimes against the State, Foundations of the Constitutional Order and Public Security of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia on November 10, 2020, on the facts of organizing and participating in mass riots in the administrative buildings of the Government and the National Assembly and other places, public calls aimed at the violent overthrow of the constitutional order, as well as imposing power on the National Assembly and the Government, seven more persons who participated in the mass riots were identified. The Investigative Committee reports on this.
Based on the investigator’s motion, the supervising prosecutor issued decisions to initiate criminal prosecution against the latter. The seven persons mentioned were arrested.
Petitions have been submitted to the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of administrative supervision against the seven persons.
