The rector and vice-rector of the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University have been arrested as part of a criminal investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
The latter are accused of creating and leading a criminal organization consisting of various university employees, committing embezzlement and fraud on a particularly large scale, and receiving bribes.
A number of other university employees have also been arrested as part of the criminal investigation.
