The situation with democracy in Ukraine is tragic: Georgia’s response to Zelenskyy

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement at the UN General Assembly, Georgia’s First Channel reports.

According to Kobakhidze, Georgia is “ten heads above” all candidate countries, both in terms of human rights and democracy.

“Regarding the situation with democracy and human rights in Ukraine, it is tragic both in terms of democracy and human rights. When people start talking about democracy and human rights in Georgia in such a situation, it is absurd in itself. Georgia is the undisputed leader among EU candidate countries, including in terms of democracy and human rights. We are ten heads above all candidate countries, both in terms of human rights and democracy,” the Georgian Prime Minister noted.
