Trump Again Accuses Ukraine of War and Says Crimea Will “Stay with Russia”

US President Donald Trump has once again said that he believes that the primary reason for Russia’s attack on Ukraine was that Ukraine wanted to join NATO, and also said that Crimea “will stay with Russia,” he said in an interview with The Time, which was taken on April 22 and published on April 25.

Donald Trump repeated his previous statements that Ukraine itself allegedly provoked the war by wanting to join NATO.

“I think the reason this war started was because they started talking about joining NATO,” the US president said. Before that, Trump, commenting on Ukraine’s offer to buy American Patriot air defense systems to protect the skies, hinted that it was Ukraine “that started the war.”

He also made it clear that he considers Crimea lost to Ukraine. “Crimea will stay with Russia,” Trump said.
