Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder the resolution of the conflict by directly involving NATO countries, thus “playing with fire.”
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any arms shipment destined for Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia. The Kremlin stated that Western arms supplies to Ukraine would negatively impact the negotiations.
