On September 28, in Yerevan, in the building of the representative office of the Republic of Artsakh, a working meeting was held between the deputies of the National Assembly of Artsakh and the representatives of the Central Council, offices and commissions of the ARF Hay Dat. Artsakh State Minister and Human Rights Defender were also present at the meeting. Gagik Baghunts, acting as the Speaker of the Artsakh National Assembly, highlighted the work of Armenian Dat commissions and offices. Hakob Ter-Khachaturyan, the chairman of the Central Council of Armenian Dat, emphasized that the problem of Artsakh remains at the core of the structure's activity, and the follow-up work in that direction is of a long-term and unchanging nature. He also pointed out the need to preserve the state structures of Artsakh. • During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the strategy of addressing the Artsakh issue on international platforms and pointed out the following target directions. • Right of collective return. Protection of the fundamental rights of the people of Artsakh, including the realization of the right of collective return with reliable international guarantees. • Release of prisoners. Advancing the issue of early release of Armenian prisoners and hostages held in Azerbaijan. • Protection of cultural heritage. Preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of Artsakh and opposition to the policy of destruction of Armenian traces by Azerbaijan. • Social-educational support. Expansion of the mechanisms for providing domestic, social and educational support to forcibly displaced Artsakh citizens. At the end of the discussion, the parties emphasized the continuity of joint efforts and cooperation. ARF Bureau member Hovsep Ter-Gevorgyan reaffirmed the role of the Artsakh authorities and emphasized the importance of similar meetings in order to coordinate the upcoming works more effectively.
