The Prime Minister of Finland, Peteri Orpo, in an interview with the Finnish TV and radio company Yle, supported the idea of stopping the issuing of tourist visas to Russian citizens by European countries. According to Orpo, he plans to present this proposal at the next session of the European Council. Issues related to European security and countering threats from Russia will also be discussed at the session. The Prime Minister of Finland justified his position with concerns about possible sabotage in Europe. In his opinion, in the conditions of the supposed threat, it is not advisable for Russian tourists to move freely in European countries. "We are afraid that Russia is trying to carry out subversive activities on the territory of Europe. In that case, why do we allow Russians as tourists to enter Europe and move freely?" Orpo stated.
