September 19 is one of the blackest pages in our history. the day when, after the Azerbaijani aggression and months of hunger, Artsakh was emptied of its thousand-year-old owners. However, one of the bitterest aspects of this tragedy is the treacherous political silence that prevails to this day. Today, on the day of this anniversary, the same indifference reigns again. neither Robert Kocharyan nor his teammates have made any announcements or messages. Yes, Kocharyan used to make statements, and on September 2, 2023, he participated in the Artsakh support rally in Yerevan. But beyond the announcements, what did the first president of Artsakh do? What resources and influence did he bring to the table to prevent that disaster? When the people of Artsakh took to the streets of Yerevan in August and September 2023, demanding the opening of the Lachin Corridor, he chose the role of a safe observer. The desperate people of Artsakh did not spread the banners "The First President of Artsakh is Wanted" for nothing. this was a bitter record that he simply abandoned his own people. Nikol Pashinyan's responsibility does not eliminate the main issue. where was Kocharyan's promised struggle? In May 2023, he said: "One should fight for the homeland, not pretend to fight." Today, those words can be returned to him. Mr. Kocharyan, Artsakh was in a famine, then it was depopulated. Where was your struggle? This inaction and continued silence was actually a tacit agreement with Pashinyan to hand over Artsakh. History will judge everyone. both those who carried out the surrender of Artsakh, and those who gave a green light for it by their silence and "pretending struggle". History remembers not those who often said "Artsakh", but those who actually stood by it.
