Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan intends to pursue legislative changes regulating the relations between the Armenian Apostolic Church and the state. Moreover, the Prime Minister considers it necessary to make such legislative changes that will "eliminate the usurpation of the church, so that the people can fully participate in the management of the church." The Prime Minister also emphasized that there should not be priests who do not receive a salary, and every dime entering the Church should be accounted for, how much money was received and what it was spent on.
