Armenia was included in the list of 29 countries where Russia allows the operation of information and consultation centers providing support in consular issues. These centers can accept applicants' documents and assist Russian consular institutions in carrying out certain functions. This was stated by the director of the consular department of the Russian MFA, Alexey Klimov, in an interview with TASS agency. "The geography of access to the services of information-advisory centers (IAC) is actively expanding. At present, 29 countries are included in the list of foreign countries, in whose territory the operation of TPCs is possible. In most of them, these centers are already functioning in one form or another," said Klimov. According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the activity of the centers is regulated by Russian legislation. They assist consular establishments and consular sections of embassies in accepting documents and exercising certain consular powers. Armenia, along with Argentina, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Serbia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, was included in the list of countries where it was planned to develop such infrastructures.
