Human rights defender Ruben Melikyan writes. In the de facto parliament, the CP created an "investigative committee" with the clear purpose of continuing its persecution against the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church anew. So what? The de-facto prime minister continues to dictate his agenda to all of us, and the opposition is still unable to counter that agenda with the agenda, or rather, hundreds of thousands of cities that fundamentally do not accept the policies of the de-facto prime minister. An agenda serving people's demands. And until there is no alternative agenda (I hope there isn't yet), we have to respond to the Nicolas agenda. And I consider the idea of "resolving the issues" of the Armenian Church through the "investigative commission" as "double defilement". The "first defilement" is in the realm of the spiritual. No external organization is authorized to examine the issues of the Armenian Church. This is a principle. And the fact of creating a de-facto investigative commission violates and defiles that principle. No matter how much the regime organizes a propaganda "breakfast-breakfast" in an attempt to gain international legitimacy for its agenda, it is still impossible to hide the obvious - the western model state has NO RIGHT to interfere in the internal affairs of the Church. End point. The "second defilement" refers to the idea of the "commission of inquiry" itself. In the theory of parliamentarism, it was conceived and later received a constitutional confirmation as a tool of the opposition. As a tool for limiting power. And the de-facto majority is now using it for a purpose contrary to its original meaning, and that fact in itself falsifies-defiles the very idea of that democratic institution.
