On October 9, Deputy Speaker of the RA National Assembly, member of the Armenia-Italy friendship group Aram Vardevanyan met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Armenia Alessandro Ferranti. The National Assembly informs that Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the Armenia-Italy friendship group, secretary of the "Strong Armenia" faction, was present at the meeting. Welcoming the ambassador, Aram Vardevanyan highly appreciated the effective cooperation and developing relations between Armenia and Italy, which are based on common values. Speaking about the parliamentary relations of the two countries, the NA deputy speaker emphasized that it is possible to deepen existing relations, especially with the cooperation of friendly groups, as well as to use economic, educational, cultural and other areas. The great potential in Aram Vardevanyan presented his observations regarding democratic processes, protection of human rights, rule of law in our country. Expressing gratitude for the reception, the ambassador also emphasized the deepening of bilateral relations, spoke about the many projects implemented in Armenia in cooperation between the two countries. Reference was made to the bilateral cooperation within the framework of expanding relations between Armenia and the European Union.
