RA Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan received the delegation led by Holger Krey, head of agriculture and food in the Europe and Central Asia region of the World Bank. This is reported by the RA Ministry of Economy. At the beginning of the meeting, Arman Khojoyan highly appreciated the effective partnership formed between the World Bank and Armenia. Then the parties discussed the course of joint programs in the agro-food sector and the prospects for further expansion. The deputy minister presented to the guests the economic development priorities outlined in the 2026-2031 plan of the RA government and the main directions of their implementation. Arman Khojoyan noted that the RA government has adopted the policy of developing efficient agriculture, producing competitive and high-value products, as well as forming a technologically equipped and modern agricultural system. He has The development of "smart", climate-resistant agriculture, the effective management of land and water resources, as well as the strengthening of food systems were emphasized on both sides. In his turn, Holger Krey reaffirmed the readiness of the World Bank to continue supporting the strategic reforms of Armenia's agricultural sector. He highly appreciated the dynamics of the implemented works and emphasized the importance of strengthening the agro-food value chains and increasing the competitiveness of local products. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to actively continue cooperation with the World Bank, to deepen joint work in directions of mutual interest, to effectively implement existing programs. in order to promote new initiatives.
