Under the patriarchal direction of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, new appointments were made. Andranik Gevorgyan, being dismissed from the position of abbot of St. Hripsime Monastery, was appointed the leader of the Armenian Diocese in Iraq. Zareh Archimandrite Kabaghyan, relieved of his spiritual duties in the Diocese of Vayots Dzor, was appointed abbot of the monastery of St. Hripsime. Mekhitar Abeka Ephremian, relieved of his duties at the Gevorgian Spiritual Seminary, was called to study in Italy. Mambre priest Hmayakyan, relieved of his clerical duties in the Diocese of Armavir, was appointed to the service at St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Almelo, Netherlands, under the authority of the Pontifical Delegate of Western Europe. Rev. Samuel Priest Sargsyan was called to service in the Armenian Diocese of France. Invention Priest Galstyan was appointed to service in the Diocese of Armavir. Sepuh priest Baghdasaryan, relieved of his spiritual duties in the Armenian Diocese of Iraq, was called to serve in the Diocese of Kotayk.
