The Committee of Higher Education and Science of the RA KGSMS informs that the process of formation of the new composition of the Public Council of the Republic of Armenia has started. The Secretariat of the Public Council of the Prime Minister's Office, guided by Article 5, Part 4 of the Law "On the Public Council", on behalf of the members of the Public Council appointed by the Government's decision N 1298-A of September 3, 2026, applies to the local to self-government bodies, non-governmental organizations of relevant fields, patriotic and creative unions, youth and student organizations, mass media, veterans' organizations organizations, scientific and educational organizations, consumer rights protection, businessmen and industrialists' unions, religious organizations, diaspora structures and other structures of civil society. � in order to propose representatives in the standing committees of the Public Council. Nominated candidates will be elected as members of the Public Council (chairmen of standing committees) in accordance with the law. Clerk of the Public Council In order to ensure the efficiency, professional potential and broad representation of civil society, it is encouraged in the permanent sectoral committees of the Council, including the Committee on Science and Education Affairs. Active participation of individuals and representatives of public organizations with relevant experience and authority. In order to nominate candidates, it is necessary to submit an application on behalf of the head of the organization to the Secretariat of the Public Council. The application states: 1. surname, first name, patronymic of the candidate nominated by the organization, 2. the name of the permanent committee of the public council, whose candidacy is proposed for the chairman. 3. name of the nominating organization, organizational-legal form, fields of activity, address, telephone number. 4. the day, month, year of submitting the application. The application must be signed by the head of the organization and sealed (if there is a seal). Attached to the application are presented to the nominated candidate: 1. a copy of the identity document, 2. autobiography (resume), 3. Declaration about the lack of restrictions on mastering the provisions of the RA Law "On Public Council" and the absence of restrictions on being appointed as a member of the Public Council and consent to be a member of the Public Council (permanent commissioner) about the appointment of the President. The application and attached documents must be submitted by October 3, 2026 inclusive.
