The Constitutional Court recognized the TRIPP agreement as being in accordance with the Mother Law. This was reported by the Department of Foreign Relations of the Constitutional Court. The complete decision will be published within three days, after which it will be sent to the parliament for ratification. Earlier yesterday, on September 15, the Constitutional Court started examining the TRIPP agreement by written procedure. The CC should decide whether the commitments undertaken by Armenia in the document comply with the Constitution. The reporter of the case is Judge Edgar Shatiryan. On May 26, Yerevan and Washington signed the framework agreement on the "Trump's Way for International Peace and Prosperity" project. The signing process was completed on June 4, with the signatures of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. In July, the Government approved the project to ratify the agreement. If the Constitutional Court recognizes the obligations assumed by the document in accordance with the Constitution, the agreement will be sent to the National Assembly for ratification. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the government wants to implement TRIPP as quickly as possible, expressing hope that it will be possible to start work on the ground already this fall. However, the Ambassador of Armenia to the USA and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan mentioned the other day that the construction will probably start at the beginning of next year.
