Russia hopes that Armenia will continue constructive work in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk in an interview with Marina Gromova, a journalist of the Vesti news service. This is how he answered Armenia's question about continuing to work in the EAEU. “We certainly strive for it and see Armenia as a participant in the Eurasian Economic Union. And in the 10 little more years that Armenia is a member of the Union, the GDP of that country has increased almost three times. Per capita incomes, per capita GDP, have also increased threefold, respectively. Our trade reacheda high point of $12.4 billion in 2024, while Armenia's GDP was at the level of about $26-27 billion during that period. And of course, we hope that Armenia will continue its constructive work together with the other participating states of the Eurasian Economic Union, ”Overchuk said.
