In Georgia, 80 people have been arrested over the past 24 hours in connection with the so-called "thievery world." Law enforcement officials claim that they have regularly organized so-called “robbery clashes” in which they have resolved financial disputesin accordance with criminal traditions. Accordingto the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspects settled disputes between the persons and demanded that one of the parties pay certain sums to the other or to themselves. According to the investigation, these requirements will not be met or the deadlines will not be met, the suspects were threatened with physical violence and even murder. Searches were conducted in the homes and cars of the suspects. Law enforcement officers seized computers and cell phones that the suspects used to communicate with each other and with the alleged “thief in law” who was abroad as evidence. Firearms, money, and drugs were also found. The investigation is carried out according to Articles 223 ¹, 223 ³, 223 ′ and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the punishment provided by these articles, depending on the nature of the crime, may has reached a 15-year prison term.
