Dear all, staff of APIETC and our participants of seminar,
Ladies and gentlemen, Good morning!
It is a great honor for me to speak on behalf of all participants at the closing ceremony of the Seminar on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Alignment with the Belt and Road Initiative
First of all, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Commerce Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, and Shenzhen Association for Promotion of the International Economic and Technological Cooperation for hosting and undertaking this important seminar.
At the same time, we are also very grateful to Director Zhou Xu, for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend our closing ceremony. We’d like to express our thanks to you for the great consideration and support.
I’d also like to thank the tireless APIETC staff on field, Sunny and Frank, who went the extra mile at all times to make us feel comfortable throughout the program, as well as to all the instructors who shared their knowledge with us.
Ladies and gentlemen, this Seminar was an opportunity to make new friends from Armenia，Ethiopia，Iraq，Jordan，Kenya，Moldova，Türkiye, while learning how China opened up and developed in the past decades, in particular the role of the FTZs, and more recently the B&R Initiative and the Greater Bay Area projects. Moreover, to exchange views in the innovative and technologically advanced city of Shenzhen was a privilege to us all. This city breathes innovation, dreams, modernization and economic development. We have also visited different technologically advanced companies, learn about the Chinese culture and made an inspiring visit to Kunming, Yunnan Province.
Ladies and gentlemen, sadly, our seminar is coming to an end. But the knowledge and time we spent together will remain in our memory forever.
We all know that economic development depends largely on the advancement of information technology and innovation. Therefore, we must consolidate our friendly cooperation, share information, and enrich knowledge, so as to meet future challenges with optimism. We hope that the Chinese government can play a greater role in cooperating with our countries.
As we all have now officially become Shenzheners, let’s keep in touch and feed the friendship generated in China, Shenzhen!
