British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has spoken to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the UK government press service reported.
According to the report, Starmer spoke about his recent visit to the US and the importance of working with international partners to maintain European security.
“Discussing the war in Ukraine, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary to deter Russian aggression. The Prime Minister went on to outline his aims for the leaders’ summit he is convening in London on Sunday and said he looked forward to the participation of the Turkish Foreign Minister in those talks. The leaders agreed to stay in touch,” the report noted.
